HEIC is an efficient format used by many iPhones to save space. HEIF is the related container format.
The libheif decoder loads locally only for HEIC/HEIF files. Photos are batch processed without uploads.
JPG is easier to share but may be larger than HEIC. Use high quality to retain detail.

JPG is lossy. Adjust quality and compare the result before downloading.
HEIC support depends on installed codecs. JPG works in more applications.
