Up to 20 images, 50 MB each, 200 MB total and 40 megapixels per image. Animated images are exported as a single frame.

    How to convert your images

Select HEIC or HEIF photos and press Convert all. The local decoder applies container orientation; review portraits before downloading.

    When to use this conversion

Useful for importing iPhone photos into PNG-compatible editors without another lossy compression stage. For emailing photographs, HEIC to JPG is often more practical.

    Format differences

HEIC uses the HEIF container with efficient compression. PNG stores decoded pixels losslessly, but cannot restore information lost when the HEIC photo was created.

    Quality, transparency and size

PNG can be much larger than HEIC. Only the primary image is exported, not Live Photos, depth maps or every image in the container. HDR and color profiles are not guaranteed to survive.

    Frequently asked questions

Can I convert HEIF as well as HEIC?

Yes. Both containers are accepted when their codec is supported by the local decoder.

Will the PNG photo be rotated?

The decoder applies internal HEIF rotations and mirroring. Check the preview to confirm orientation for your specific file.

Does PNG recover the original iPhone quality?

No. It avoids new export losses for decoded pixels but cannot recover discarded detail or necessarily retain HDR.

Are Live Photos, EXIF and depth retained?

No. One primary still image is exported without those features or original metadata. Keep the source HEIC.
