Up to 20 images, 50 MB each, 200 MB total and 40 megapixels per image. Animated images are exported as a single frame.

    How to convert your images

Add PNG files, review quality and press Convert all. Transparent areas are preserved without choosing a background; check the result before downloading.

    When to use this conversion

Useful for illustrations, product cards and web graphics with alpha. For small text, screenshots or master files, inspect edges and keep the PNG.

    Format differences

PNG stores pixels losslessly. WebP supports transparency, but this export uses lossy compression and is not an exact copy of the PNG.

    Quality, transparency and size

Quality affects color while the output retains alpha. A setting of 100 does not guarantee identical pixels. Size depends on content and dimensions.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is the transparent background preserved?

Yes. The PNG alpha channel is retained in WebP when the browser supports encoding it.

Does quality 100 create lossless WebP?

No. Canvas does not provide a lossless WebP option here. Quality 100 still uses the browser’s available encoder.

Is it suitable for logos and small text?

It can be, but compression may alter edges. Inspect the enlarged result and keep PNG or a vector original when exactness matters.

    What happens to animated PNG?

Only one static image is exported, not the animation. Keep the animated original.
