Up to 20 images, 50 MB each, 200 MB total and 40 megapixels per image. Animated images are exported as a single frame.

    How to convert your images

Select one or more JPG or JPEG files, start at quality 85 and press Convert all. Compare the result before downloading each image or the ZIP.

    When to use this conversion

Use it for product photos, blog posts and image-heavy pages. Check that your content management system and recipient accept WebP.

    Format differences

JPG uses lossy compression and has no alpha channel. This tool exports lossy WebP; changing formats cannot recover details already lost in JPEG.

    Quality, transparency and size

Lower quality can reduce size and introduce artifacts around edges and gradients. Dimensions stay unchanged unless you set limits; WebP is not guaranteed to be smaller.

    Frequently asked questions

Is WebP always smaller than JPG?

No. An optimized JPG may be smaller. Compare both file sizes at an acceptable visual quality.

    Does this produce lossless WebP?

No. The browser encoder uses the quality setting for lossy WebP. Keep the original JPG for reference.

    Will my photograph gain transparency?

No. A JPG is opaque and stays opaque. Use PNG to WebP for graphics with transparent backgrounds.

    Are EXIF and GPS preserved?

Canvas export does not preserve the original EXIF metadata. Keep the JPG if you need camera or location information.
